Confessional Thursday :: April 14

Thursday, April 14, 2016

It's that time again...time for another week of Confessional Thursday with Jessica at The Newly.

Here goes - confession time:

[] For quite some time I've been wanting an University of Alabama hoodie with their signature A on it.  No, I didn't go there and I know nothing about their school or any of their teams...I just like them. I'm weird like that.  I bought an Ole Miss hoodie years ago, and it's my favorite!  So I think it's time I get my Alabama hoodie...and maybe a new Old Miss hoodie...if I'm feeling extra daring.  #SuchARebel

[] You know that song on Tangled when the credits are rolling - Something That I Want?!  Yup, that's my new favorite song.  The little one and I listen to that on repeat everywhere we go these days. #DisneyPrincessFanatics #DontJudge

[] Tuesday I had a luncheon for a Portland YWCA function downtown Portland, which meant - dress up!  However, I remembered the black pants I bought after getting this job [as I just knew that I'd be needing them sooner or later] were a smaller size than I used to wear [yah- go me!].  I put them on, and they fit...but with an ever so slight muffin top.  Eh, whatever. It happens.  I don't have the body I did at 19. But I rocked those pants like no ones business! #RockingIt

[]  Ok, I just need to clear the air here for a sec - I'm so sick of people who they are better then everyone and/or fake.  There. I said it. Whew. #FeelingMuchBetter  #CanYouBeNormalForASec

[] Last week I went grocery shopping with the little one and totally did the bribe thing.  Told her she could get some "fun" bubble bath if she was good.  We get to the bath section, she finds not one, but two kinds of bubble baths she wants.  I tell her, you can only put 1 in the cart.  She walks over to the cart, puts them both in the cart and walks away.  Guess we solved that one. #MomLostThatOne

[] I had been contemplating doing a few self tans this Spring/Summer or using self tanner lotions.  [Back in the "young" days, I used to tan in the tanning beds, and man...did that make me feel good and bronze. Those were the days. That can't happen any more.]  My aunt told me about this Jergen's tan lotion.  It's like a regular lotion, but gives you a subtle hint of color.  Last time I used this [several years ago], it smelled so gross - like burntness.  However, now they appear to have a new "fresh" scent.  I've been using it now, and can see a subtle difference.  Like I've been sun kissed, and not rolled around in a bag of Doritos.

[] I hate to admit this one, but this morning, I was desperate for a Starbucks latte.  Pulled in, and it was over 10 cars deep. Whaaaat?  So I did what ever normal coffee addict does - wait in line.  #IHaveIssues #CoffeeIsMyDrug #StarbucksIsMyDealer

And there you have it, a Thursday full of confessions!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!

  1. Totally feel on you on the black pants! I have a few suits from when I first graduated college. When I was interviewing for some jobs last year, I realized that they didn't quite fit anymore. Luckily the jacket did and I made a mix and match outfit work...and then headed to the mall immediately after to pick up something new.

    1. I hate tight pants, but the size up is too big. That's how close I am to being in the smaller size comfortably. At least you got to go shopping for new clothes 😊 That ends the day well!

  3. Too funny about the Tangled song, I rock out to Disney like it's my job and I don't have a lil one to blame it on haha. So awesome rocking pants that were smaller than you remembered, you go girl.

Oh fakeness, how I loathe. It's so interesting reading blogs or talking to people that present themselves one way but you KNOW they are 100% different. BARF!

    1. I'd probably jam out to Disney songs too even if I didn't have the little one-some of them are so catchy! I hate fakeness everywhere, but mostly in real life. At least if your ale online, you can keep up that image longer! Lol

  4. That last picture is hilarious! Although I graduated from Southern Miss, I'm still a huge fans of SEC teams. #HottyToddy and #RollTide

    1. That's awesome! I love Ole Miss and Alabama strictly bc of their logos. And people up here can't harass me about being a duck or a beaver fan! Glad I finally can I say I know of someone who went to a school down there πŸ˜‰

  5. As I'm reading your confessions I am like YES to almost all of them! My sister makes fun of me because I am not a sports fan and I have all of these random teams because I like the look of the logo :)
Also... I liked natural glow, too, but quit because of the smell! Should I try again?

    1. I'm going to give you the thumbs up to try the lotion again. I can honestly say it smells much better now! However, by like the 8th hour o wearing it, you can start to smell a slight tan scent, but not as bad as it was.
